Blink Funding is a proprietary trading firm offering paid skill assessments across three routes - 1-Step, 2-Step and 3-Step evaluations - in seven account sizes from $5,000 to $500,000, with test fees from $50 to $4,500. The firm advertises a standard 75% virtual profit share that rises to 90% with a paid add-on, no time limit on any evaluation phase, and Expert Advisor support. Notes: All gains are distributed via Deel: once a withdrawal request is approved the firm pays the monies owed into the trader's Deel account, which the trader can then withdraw by any method Deel makes available. When a withdrawal is approved the firm simultaneously withdraws its own share of the gains, and the Maximum Trailing Drawdown locks in at the starting balance and does not reset - so a full withdrawal of all gains triggers the drawdown breach and forfeits the Live Account. If a hard breach occurs while gains are in the Live Account the trader still receives their portion of those gains. Traders are treated as independent contractors and are responsible for all taxes on gains. The firm advertises 'Guaranteed Payouts' and 'prompt and reliable payouts' on the homepage but publishes no processing-time SLA, no minimum and no maximum withdrawal anywhere on the site, and none of the 3 TrustPilot reviews mentions a payout.

Proof Note: On passing the Assessment the trader receives an email from Deel with instructions to access and complete a Trader Agreement and submit AML/KYC documents. Once the agreement is completed and supporting documentation provided, the Live Account is created, funded and issued typically within 24-48 business hours. Notes: Breach model: a SOFT breach closes only the offending trades and the trader continues; a HARD breach (Daily Loss Limit or Max Trailing Drawdown) fails the Assessment or removes the Live Account. Paid point-of-sale add-ons: 'Hold Over Weekend' (10% cost) disables the flat-for-weekend rule; 'No Stop Loss' (10% cost) disables the mandatory stop loss; a Double Leverage add-on raises Forex and Metals to 20:1; the virtual profit share rises from the standard 75% to 90% with an add-on. All figures modelled in challenges[] are the STANDARD product without add-ons. Accounts use RAW broker accounts that carry commission on Forex and Equity Share CFDs; other products carry no commission. Minimum age 18 or the local legal minimum. Traders from all countries except OFAC-listed countries are accepted. Traders must use an account provided by the firm. LIVE-VERSUS-SIMULATED, UNRESOLVED: the /how-it-works/ FAQ says 'Once you pass the Assessment, we provide you with a live account, backed by our capital. The capital in your Live Account is notional' and that real market execution 'would not be possible or as cost-effective if trades were executed in simulated accounts'; the homepage says 'we don't believe in demo accounts... you'll be trading on live markets, making real profits from day one'; but the same homepage labels every metric 'Virtual Profit Share', 'Virtual Leverage' and 'Virtual Profit Target', and the Terms state 'the Company does not provide you with the opportunity to invest actual currency' and 'No live trading is provided directly by the Company'. The firm may act as direct counterparty to trades, which it discloses as an inherent conflict of interest.
Holding Note: Standard product: all trades are closed automatically at 3:45pm EST on Friday under the flat-for-weekend rule. This is a SOFT breach only, so the trader continues trading when markets reopen. A paid 'Hold Over Weekend' add-on (10% of the fee) disables the requirement. The homepage tables read 'Hold & Trade through Weekend: YES (Options Available)', where 'Options Available' refers to that paid add-on and not to the standard product.
Max Leverage: Standard up to 10:1: Forex, Metals and Indices 10:1; Equity shares 5:1; Cryptos 2:1. The Double Leverage Add-on raises Forex and Metals to 20:1.
Inactivity Rule: If a trade is not placed at least once every 30 days the account is considered inactive and will be breached.
Daily Loss Reset: Daily Loss Limit is calculated from the previous day's closing balance (not equity) and resets at 5 PM EST.
Max Position Size: Max open positions (lots) must not exceed 1/3333th the size of the Assessment account (soft breach); a $10,000 account could have 3 lots open at once. CONFLICT: the /how-it-works/ FAQ instead publishes a per-size ladder of maximum open lots WITH RISK - $25K 2.5 lots, $50K 5, $100K 10, $250K 25, $500K 50, $1 million 100 - which is a 1/10,000th ratio.
News Trading Note: FAQ at /how-it-works/ (page modified 2024-09-06): 'Yes, you can trade during the news provided that pricing data from the Broker continue to be provided. (Stocks going into earnings is not allowed)'. DIRECT CONFLICT, unresolved by the firm: the older Terms & Conditions page (modified 2024-07-23) still states 'Opening a position within 3 minutes before or after a News Event is prohibited' and that the Company has sole discretion to define a News Event.
